Robert Gordon Students Recognized For PARCC Scores & Summer Reading Challenge

Ten (10) students from Robert Gordon Elementary School were presented with Certificates of Achievement for having “Exceeded Expectations” in the PARCC tests.

Robert Gordon School principal, Hipolita ‘Paula’ Hernandez-Sicignano, presented the awards to the students who were in attendance with their families.

Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers, better known as PARCC, is the sate’s current standardized test for students. “Exceeded Expectations” is the highest ranking – Level 5 – in the assessments grading.

One student, Olivia Belin, acheived the highest level in both English and Math.

The eight (8) students recognized for Exceeded Expectations in their PARCC English Language Arts/Literacy Assessment Score were:

  • Rafael Mesa

Three students exceeded expectations in the PARCC Mathematics assessment:

  • Olivia Belin
  • Yangjoon Padilla
  • Bryanna Rivera

One student, Elaina Henn, was recognized for having read the most books during the school’s Summer Reading Challenge.
