Road Work On East Lincoln Avenue To Start In October

The County of Union will be milling East Lincoln Avenue from Chestnut Street to Galloping Hill Road for road resurfacing. The work is scheduled to start on or about Friday, October 13th, and is projected to last for eight (8) days.

The milling will require the length of East Lincoln Avenue to be closed overnight approximately between the hours of 7 o’clock in the evening until 6 a.m. the next morning – weather permitting.

A detour route will be in place during the project. Emergency vehicles will be allowed through at all times. Access to residences, including deliveries and other services, in the work zone will be allowed as much as possible, according to the County.

Mobilization and preparation work on the part of the contractor – P&A Construction out of Colonia – about a week or two in advance of the actual start day may occur.

Anyone with traffic questions can call the Union County Traffic Bureau at (908) 789-6011 during normal business hours. The Roselle Park Police Department (RPPD) should be contacted if any emergencies arise.

Regular updates on the project will be posted if and when they become available at the Union County road construction website (link).
