Reward Doubled For Information On Death Of Robert Sabio

Law enforcement authorities have doubled the cash reward offer for information that leads to the arrest of a suspect or suspects who assaulted 70-year-old Roselle Park resident Robert Sabio. Mr. Sabio later died of his injuries.

Sheriff Armando Fontoura said that Robert Sabio died from blunt-force trauma following an assault by the driver and/or passengers of a vehicle that the victim’s car had bumped into at 11 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19, 2013, on the 1300 block of Springfield Avenue in Irvington.

Sheriff Fontoura stated that the Crimestoppers program would now pay up to $10,000.00 for details that lead investigators to an arrest in the case.

Persons with information are asked to contact Lt. Paterson Pasteur of the Essex County Prosecutor’s Major Crimes Task Force at (973) 621-4586 or the Prosecutor’s 24-hour Tip Line at (800) 847-7432.

All calls to law enforcement will be kept confidential.
