Results Certified in School Election

The results of Roselle Park’s April 27th School District Election have been certified by the office of the Union County Clerk.

The 2011-2012 school budget question won the favor of voters by an overwhelming margin with 641 votes in favor, and 331 opposed – An unquestionable 65.95% to 34.05% separation.

Three new members of the Roselle Park Board of Education were also chosen by sufficient margins. Incumbent Barbara Sokol received 608 votes (29.41%), the most of any of the four candidates. Co-Incumbent Christopher Miller received the next highest amount with 597 votes (28.88%). New comer Jason Tribiano won the third open seat with 486 votes (23.51%). And, candidate Troy Gerten received 376 votes (18.19%).
