Resolution 157-18: Study Of Chestnut Street Zoning

Council approved a resolution to have the municipality’s zoning officer, Rich Belluscio, address zoning along Chestnut Street from Grant Avenue to Lincoln Avenue.

The study will review current zoning regulations on the 300, 400, and 500 blocks of Chestnut Street. The ultimate goal of the study is to either create or adjust zoning that will encourage first-floor businesses – be it professional services or commercial retail storefronts.

The recommendations will be submitted to the governing body so they can review and decide how, or if, to proceed with creating ordinances to address zoning to the betterment of the borough. The borough’s engineering firm Neglia Engineering will provide an estimate for the study in their capacity as borough planner.
