Residents Help ‘Stamp Out Hunger’ With Their Donations

The National Association of Letter Carriers and the Roselle Park Police Benevolent Association (RP PBA) teamed up for another successful year of the “Stamp Out Hunger” food collection campaign.

On May 12th, residents throughout the borough left bags of canned goods and non-perishable items out in front by their mailboxes which were collected by letter carriers and the RP PBA.

Additionally, the local police association donated goods for the daylong event.

In the true spirit of neighbor helping neighbor, all food and items collected were gathered then distributed to the Church of the Assumption and Casano Center food pantries.

Roselle Park Police Officer and PBA representative Greg Polakoski commented, “This is a great event because everything collected from this event goes back to people in town.”

Below are photos of bags that were collected before they were dsitributed to those Roselle Park residents who are facing economic hardship. Click on each image for a full-size view.
