Resident To Be Honored At YWCA Women and Industry Awards Dinner

Roselle Park resident Maureen Rebimbas will be among 37 women to be honored at the 36th Annual Tribute to Women and Industry Awards Dinner, sponsored by YWCA Union County at the Hanover Marriott Hotel on May 6th.

Maureen has over 30 years of experience in the industry, predominately in the ShopRite Financial Services Division. She is a graduate of Kean University with a degree in Accounting. Her efforts helped develop a collaborative solution for the Wakefern Membership, providing them with a single comprehensive financial services platform. She was the recipient of the Customer Service Excellence award in 2000. Maureen is currently the Financial Manager of the Non Perishables divisions of Wakefern Food Corp. In this capacity, she gets involved with the financial planning and analysis of the product divisions and logistical areas. She is also responsible for promotional funding as well as the Product and Paper Reclamation programs. Maureen is also involved in many key initiatives to improve store visibility of sales, gross profits, and shrink at a more detailed and granular level.

YWCA Union County’s Tribute to Women & Industry (TWIN) Award is a nationally-recognized honor. Since creating the TWIN award 36 years ago, the YWCA has honored women in executive, managerial, and other professional roles who have made significant contributions in their fields. This important award recognizes successful women executives for their outstanding achievements and honors those companies that have provided opportunities for women to achieve their potential.

The TWIN Program benefits YWCA Union County’s comprehensive programs for survivors of domestic violence including shelter, 24-hour hotline, counseling, legal services, workforce development, and programs for children. Its TWIN Management Forum (TMF) is a network of past TWIN honorees that meets regularly to take part in a variety of programs on career and personal development. TMF attracts diverse and talented members who experience personal and professional enrichment through its networking programs. In addition, this group provides an opportunity to help other women achieve their educational and career goals through the TMF Scholarship Fund.

This year Royal DSM, a global science-based company active in health, nutrition and materials, is the event’s Leadership Sponsor. For more information on the 36th Annual TWIN Awards Dinner, visit their website (link).
