Resident Soldier Presents RPPD With American Flag Flown In Afghanistan

On January 20th, Roselle Park resident and Army National Guard Specialist Nelson Agurto [pictured left] presented Roselle Park Police Chief Paul Morrison and the Roselle Park Police Department with an American flag that flew over Forward Operating Base (FOB) Sharana in Afghanistan in honor of the Roselle Park Police Department during Operation Enduring Freedom.

In receiving the American flag, Police Chief Morrison stated, “I have the greatest respect for our men and women of the United States military and I am grateful for what they do everyday in keeping our country safe. I was truly honored to be presented our nation’s flag on behalf of the Roselle Park Police Department and our town. Our nation is truly blessed to have men and women such as Specialist Nelson Agurto serving our country and keeping us safe from all enemies of the United States.”
