On September 6, 2011 at 10:23 p.m., a resident reported an armed robbery. The victim, a 22 year old male of Roselle Park, stated that he was robbed at gunpoint. He stated that he was walking to the 7-Eleven convenience store located at 500 Locust Street when he was met by a black vehicle, described as a black 4-door passenger car, on East Webster Avenue at Chestnut Street. The occupants were described as two (2) black males wearing black hooded sweatshirts and baseball caps – one baseball cap was all black, and the other had a red brim. While walking past the vehicle, the victim stated that one (1) of the black males asked him “You got any weed?”
The victim replied no and continued walking to the 7-Eleven.
When the victim walked past the vehicle again on his way home one of the males exited the vehicle, and pointed a semi-automatic handgun against the victim’s chest and demanded money. Not having any, the suspect stole the victim’s 32 Gb black iPod Touch valued at $300.00, and his black Samsung Straight-Talk slide phone valued at $80.00.
After giving the suspect his belongings, the victim ran home where he contacted police. A canvas of the area did not reveal the suspects or witnesses. A county alarm was broadcasted by dispatch.
