On August 30, 2011 at 10:59 a.m., a resident filed a report of fraud. The victim stated that he paid a contractor, identified as Juan Rivera, the sum of $2,700 to install central air conditioning into his home. After making several payments to Mr. Rivera, Rivera then stopped all correspondence with the victim and has not returned to complete the job. Upon researching the receipt and contract “J.M. Heating and Air Conditioning”, the victim stated that he realized the business was non-existent and that the phone numbers located on the contract were non-working numbers.
