Resident Reports Credit Card Fraud

On November 12, 2011 at 3:45 p.m., Patrolman Kevin Florczak filed a report of fraud from a resident.

The victim stated he received a call from Chase Bank regarding his credit card. He was informed that several purchases from Pennsylvania were charged to his credit card. The first charge occurred at a Macy’s in Pennsylvania for about $300.00. A second charge for about $200.00 was attempted but was declined by the bank. A third charge was attempted at a gas station for an unknown amount.

The victim stated he last used his credit card on the previous day, November 11, 2011 at a restaurant and that the only time he did not have his credit card in his possession was when the waitress took the card to charge his bill.
