Resident Invites Community To Miles With Moms 5K

Roselle Park resident Rose Kennedy will be taking part in Miles With Moms 5K and 1 Mile Run/Walk this Sunday at Oak Ridge Park in Clark, NJ.

Rose has been involved in the event since its inception in 2011 that benefits Mothers’ Center of Central New Jersey.

Runners, walkers, moms and dads with strollers, kids, families, and friends are all welcome on the certified traffic-free course.

The 1-Mile Run/Walk starts at 9 a.m.

The 5K event starts a half hour later at 9:30 a.m.

At 10:30 a.m., the Kids Fun Run and raffle will take place.

The event will take place rain or shine and will have complimentary refreshments, music, kids’ crafts, and more.

Pre-registration up till Saturday is $25 for adults/teens and $12 for children 12-years-old and under. Registration is available the day of the race for $30 (Adult/Teen) and $15 (Children 12-years-old and under). The Kids’ Fun Run is free for children 6-years-old and under. Registration fees are non-refundable. Those who register 3 or more as a group will save on registration fees.

Mothers’ Center of Central New Jersey (MCCNJ) is a nonprofit, nonsectarian organization providing friendship, education, outreach, and support for all parents across Central New Jersey. Throughout the year the Mothers’ Center offers daytime and evening discussion and craft groups, book clubs, morning and afternoon playgroups, library and referral resources, and special events. The center holds groups and events at the Garwood Presbyterian Church and Casano Community Center in Roselle Park. On-site babysitting is available for most daytime activities.
