On Monday, January 26, 2015 at approximately 3:44 p.m., Roselle Park Police responded to Family Dollar on East Westfield Avenue for a report of a customer who had assaulted an employee.
The suspect – described as a female wearing a pink coat – allegedly fled on foot towards the rear of the store. Patrolmen Gregory Polakoski and Richard Gaylord located the individual on Williams Street. The suspect initially identified herself as “Rayshona Smith” but was later identified by police as Cecilia L. White, age 26, from Roselle Park.
Ms. White was arrested and charged with simple assault and hindering apprehension.
According to the police report, Ms. White has outstanding warrants in Elizabeth, Newark, Tinton Falls, and Ridgefield with bail totaling $6,215.
Bail for this arrest was set by Roselle Park Municipal Court Judge Gary Bundy at $2,500 and Ms. White was transported and lodged into the Union County Jail.
