Registration & Insurance Cards Taken From Vehicle On Seaton Avenue

On Thursday, June 2, 2011 at 6:05 a.m., Patrolman Robert Harms observed an opened front passenger-side door on a Honda Civic, which was parked on the 300 block of Seaton Avenue. Further investigation revealed that the glove compartment was opened and there were papers scattered on the front passenger seat.

An investigation revealed that the registered owner left the vehicle closed at approximately 10 p.m. and between that time and 6:05 a.m., unknown actor(s) entered the vehicle and took the clear plastic document holder, which contained the registration and insurance cards. The victim stated that the vehicle might have been left unlocked. There were no signs of forced entry. The victim stated that there was nothing else missing from the vehicle.
