The Roselle Park Police Department (RPPD) issued a release stating it is currently investigating a string of commercial burglaries that occurred early Saturday morning, February 4, 2012.
Police officers on patrol early Saturday morning discovered shattered glass doors at three (3) local business – a pizzeria, a nail salon (both on Chestnut Street), and another pizzeria on West Westfield Avenue. Upon further inspection, it was determined that all (3) three businesses were burglarized.
During the course of the crime, the cash registers were pried open in each of the locations. A short while later, the owner of a Chinese restaurant on West Westfield Ave reported a similar incident.
Detective Matthew Disano responded and is currently investigating the four (4) burglaries and thefts. Anyone with information regarding these crimes is urged to contact RPPD Detectives at (908) 245-2300.
