A little after 10 this morning, a blown transformer affected parts of the east side of Roselle Park for about an hour. According to a PSEG representative, high winds caused a transformer on East Grant Avenue between Avon and Berwyn Streets to explode.
A crew was on-site to re-route power and restore electricity to the vicinity by 11 o’clock. Arrangement were made to have oil that leaked from the transformer cleaned up.
