UPDATE @ 0817H on 08/11/18: Power is reported to be restored.
Power is out in parts of the west side of town. At around 7:20 this morning, residents started reporting power outages on Larch Street, Roosevelt Street, Myrtle, Chester, West Roselle Avenue, West Webster Avenue, and Colfax Manor.
According to Cranford resident Lynda Seggern who lives on the border of Roselle Park, she heard what sounded like transformers blowing. She said, “I have the curtains closed and just saw flashes and heard the booms.”
Residents have called into PSE&G and been given an estimated time of the restoration of power between 9:15 am. and noon.
The east side of town had their lights flicker but, as of now, have had no reports of power outages.
This is the fourth time this season that power has gone out on the west side of town in Roselle Park.
