At approximately 2:40 a.m., Patrolmen Angelo Marino and Sam Sukool conducted a motor vehicle stop on a 2006 Ford for an equipment violation. The driver of the vehicle, Leonard Paul, age 23 from Rahway, was found to have numerous outstanding warrants from multiple agencies total bail in the amount of $2,500. During the arrest of Mr. Paul, he was reportedly found to be in possession of a suspected controlled dangerous substance (cocaine). Mr. Paul was arrested and charged with Possession of C.D.S., Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of C.D.S. in a Motor Vehicle. He was lodged in the Union County Jail on $10,000 bail.

At approximately 10:48 p.m., Sergeant David Pitts conducted a motor vehicle stop on a 2006 Honda for a moving violation. The driver of the vehicle, Johnny Gonzalez, age 21 from Roselle, and front seat passenger, Nohra Rodriguez, age 20 from Roselle, were arrested for possession of a suspected controlled dangerous substance (marijuana). Mr. Gonzalez was charged with Possession of C.D.S. and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Ms. Rodriguez was charged with Possession of C.D.S. They were issued motor vehicle summonses and released with a court date.

At approximately 1:35 a.m., Patrolman Dean Khallaf conducted a motor vehicle on with a 1995 Toyota after it was discovered the registration was expired and registered owner had their license suspended. The driver of the vehicle, Karina Rodriguez, age 23 from Elizabeth, was found to have an outstanding warrant out of Union City. During the arrest of Ms. Rodriguez, she was found to be in possession of a suspected controlled dangerous substance (marijuana). The passenger of the vehicle, Linda Ligeiro, age 26 from Kenilworth, was arrested for an outstanding warrant out of Elizabeth. Bail was posted for both individuals and they were released with a summons.
At approximately 4:58 p.m., Patrolman William Hannon conducted a motor vehicle stop on a 2007 Jeep for an equipment violation. The driver of the vehicle, Camille Chevannes, age 33 from Boonton, was found to be in possession of a suspected controlled dangerous substance (marijuana). Ms. Chevannes was arrested and charged with Possession of C.D.S. and Possession of C.D.S. in a Motor Vehicle. She was released on a summons.

In the early morning hours, Roselle Park Police responded to East Roselle Avenue on a report of a motor vehicle burglary. Investigation revealed that unknown actor(s) broke out the rear small window of a 2011 Jeep and removed the GPS that was stored within the passenger compartment.
