Police Activity Report (October 18 – 21, 2013)

Luis Galindo, 20 of Roselle Park, was arrested after Roselle Park Police responded to a report of a man breaking car windows in the Sunrise Village apartment complex. Upon arriving at the scene, officers reportedly saw Galindo run towards Valley Road. Galindo refused to comply with orders to stop. Galindo was found after a brief search hiding behind dumpster by Patrolman Fitzgerald. Galindo attacked a car belonging to a relative with a tire iron, shattering a window and a headlight.

He was charged with criminal mischief and obstruction of justice and lodged in the Union County jail in lieu of $25,000.

October 19, 2013

Daimeon K. Walker, 18 of Roselle, was arrested by Patrolman Khallaf on Walnut Street after he was found in possession of suspected marijuana and rolling paper. Walker was charged with possession of CDS and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Roselle Park Police responded to the 200 block of Magie Avenue for a report of two (2) males trying to steal a car. As Patrolmen Macdonald and Polakoski pulled onto the block, they observed two men running away. Other police units responding to the call apprehended both men a short distance away. Seamus Mulroy, 21, and Joseph Gutierrez, 18, both of Elizabeth, NJ were charged with obstruction of justice and criminal mischief. Both are accused of striking a nearby vehicle with a tree branch resulting in minor damage and running from the police. Mulroy was also found in possession of synthetic marijuana.

Roselle Park Police responded to the Family Dollar Store on a report of a shoplifting in progress. An employee reported he observed a man using a “booster bag” to steal to comforters valued at $44.00. He stated he chased the man to a waiting vehicle that fled northbound on Chestnut Street. The suspect, a 40-50 year old black male with a full beard, entered a four door maroon Mitsubishi to flee the area. Detective Assad is investigating.

Hong Luong, 43 of Union, was arrested by Patrolman Hopkins on a $463 Woodbridge warrant. Luong was arrested after posting bail.

Lance T. Elmore, 21 of Hillside, was arrested after police responded to Jerome Street for a report of a loud dispute. An acquaintance of Elmores’ suffered a small laceration to a finger and a broken cellphone during the dispute with him. Elmore was charged with assault and criminal mischief by Patrolman Polakoski and lodged in the Union County jail on $5,000 bail.

October 21, 2013

Bryan Gallego, 25 of Elizabeth, was charged with possession of marijuana by Patrolman Marino during a traffic stop on East Lincoln Avenue. Gallego was found in possession of several suspected marijuana cigarettes.
