At approximately 3:41 p.m., Roselle Park police officers responded to 573 West Westfield Avenue (7-Eleven) on a report of a stolen iPhone 5s. Following an investigation led by Detective Edward Nortrup into the theft with the assistance of Patrolmen Brian Swick and Anthony Rodriguez, a suspect profile was developed. On October 20th, Tiombe Mosley, age 36 from Roselle, was arrested for the theft of the cell phone. She was charged with Theft and Hindering Apprehension. The cell phone was reportedly located and recovered in Roselle. Ms. Mosley was also found to have an outstanding warrant out of Wayne in the amount of $500. She was issued a summons and turned over to Wayne Police Department.

At approximately 3:54 p.m., Patrolman William Hannon conducted a motor vehicle stop on a 1999 Honda for an equipment violation. The passenger of the vehicle, Michael Edwards, age 24 from Elizabeth, was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana. Mr. Edwards was arrested and charged with Possession of CDS. He was ultimately released on a summons with a court date.
At approximately 7:53 p.m., Patrolman Brian Macdonald conducted a motor vehicle stop on a 2004 Dodge for an equipment violation. The driver of the vehicle, Mark Mcghee, age 35 from Roselle, was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana. Mr. Mcghee was arrested and charged with Possession of CDS and Possession of CDS in a Motor Vehicle. He was also found to have an active child support warrant issued by the Union County Sheriff’s Department. He was issued a warrant, bail set at $1,000, and he was lodged into the Union County Jail.

At 07:56 a.m., Roselle Park Police responded to 336 East Westfield Avenue on a report of a hit and run motor vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that in the early morning hours of October 21st a 2000 Ford and a 2014 Nissan were parked facing eastbound when a white motor vehicle rear ended the parked vehicles and fled the scene. Evidence left at the scene indicates that the vehicle involved could possibly be a white Oldsmobile Bravada (SUV). Anyone with information regarding this incident is encouraged to call the Roselle Park Police at (908) 245-2300 regarding this ongoing investigation. No injuries were reported.
