At 10:47 a.m., Russell S. Coven, 26,of Keyport, was arrested by the New Jersey State Police (NJSP) and transported to the Roselle Park Police Department (RPPD) where he was arrested by Patrolman Fitzgerald on $750 warrants from the Roselle Park Municipal Court (RPMC). Coven posted bail in full.
At 5:35 p.m., Michael T. Boyce, 29 of Mountainside, was arrested by Patrolman Fitzgerald after he responded to a parking complaint on the 100 block of Warren Ave. Boyce, the operator of the vehicle in question, was found in possession of two (2) containers of marijuana and a smoking pipe. He was released pending an appearance in RPMC.
At 10:48 p.m., Jamal E. Harper, 32 of Piscataway, was arrested by Patrolman Lanza during a traffic stop on Westfield Avenue at Hawthorne Street. Harper was found in possession of a cigar filled with suspected marijuana. He was released pending an appearance in RPMC.

At 4:57 p.m., Erick Jace, 28 of Harrison, was arrested by Patrolman Rapach after police responded to the Dunkin Donuts parking lot located at 47 West Westfield Avenue for a report of suspicious activity. Police found several individuals standing around a car as Jace was trying to fix a dent on a nearby vehicle. According to police, Jace met a “client” in the lot to fix his car without permission from the property owner. A warrant check revealed Jace had $400 of traffic warrants from Linden, NJ. He was released after posting bail.
At 11:47 p.m., Darrin X. McDowell, 22 of Hillside, was arrested by Patrolman Vaughan during a traffic stop on Grove Street. McDowell initially identified himself as Jerome X. Meyers. Vaughan found several inconsistencies in “Meyer’s” story before confirming his true identity. McDowell was found to have a suspended driver’s license and $1,000 in warrants from Hillside and Newark. McDowell was charged with Hindering Apprehension and lodged into the Union County Jail on $5000 bail.

At 1:45 a.m., Sahid D. Thomas, 23 of Elizabeth, was arrested by Patrolman Lanza during a traffic stop on Galloping Hill Road. Thomas was found to have $580 warrants from Roselle Borough. Thomas was unable to post bail and was released into custody of the Roselle Police Department.
