Police Activity Report (May 24 – 27, 2013)

May 24, 2013

A vehicle was stolen while two others were broken into late Friday night into Saturday morning. A 1995 Honda was stolen from in front of 158 East Westfield Avenue. Early Saturday morning, the vehicle’s owner found broken glass where the vehicle was parked. Around the same time, a resident of 400 block of East Clay Avenue reported the attempted theft of his 2003 Audi after he found damage to its lock and steering column. Another resident, on the 400 block of Woodland Avenue, reported similar damage to his 1999 Honda. All three crimes are reported to have occurred between 10 p.m. Friday night and 6 a.m. Saturday morning.

Nilda A. Salas, 23 of Elizabeth, was arrested by Patrolman Nicholas Vaughan during a traffic stop on Sherman Avenue. Reportedly, Salas was found to be operating an uninsured vehicle while her driver’s license was suspended. Vaughan then found almost one ounce of suspected marijuana along with packaging material inside a backpack in the car. Salas’s two-year-old child was seated in the rear seat. Salas was arrested and transported to Roselle Park Police Department (RPPD). Police also took temporary custody of the child who was later released to Salas’ mother. Salas was charged with possession of marijuana, possession with the intent to distribute marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. The NJ Division of Child Protection and Permanency was notified of the arrest.

May 25, 2013

Alexis I. Schwartz, 19 of Roselle Park, was arrested by Patrolman Mitchell White during a traffics top on Locust Street. Schwartz was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after she was found in possession of a glass pipe commonly used to smoke marijuana.

Santos L. Reyes, 30 of Newark, was arrested by Patrolman Gregory Polakoski at police headquarters during an investigation. Reyes had a $514 warrant from Newark Municipal court. Reyes was released after posting bail.

May 26, 2013

Tiffany A. Blunt, 34 of Roselle, was arrested by Patrolman Mitchell White during a traffic stop near Gordon Street. Blunt stated she had no form of identification on her and identified herself as ” Tiffany A. Humanik” to Patrolman White. A brief investigation revealed that “Humanik” was Blunt and Blunt had a $600 warrant from Westfield municipal court. Blunt was then allegedly found in possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance without a valid prescription. Blunt was charged with Possession of CDS, Hindering Apprehension, and Contempt of Court. Blunt was released after posting bail in amount of $1,000.

May 27, 2013

Christopher Dolisca, 23 of East Orange, was arrested by Patrolman Richard Gaylord during a traffic stop on Bridge Street. Dolisca was operating a 1997 Chevrolet when he was stop for various traffic violations. Dolisca was arrested at the scene for DWI. His passenger, Ricotson Dolisca, 25 of Irvington, was arrested on warrants from the Monroe Township Municipal Court. Ricotson Dolisca was released into custody of the Monroe Township Police Department in lieu of $1,250 bail.
