At approximately 8:50 p.m., Patrolman William Hannon conducted a motor vehicle stop along West Westfield Avenue on a 2009 Honda for an equipment violation. The passenger of the vehicle, Jordy J. Pintado, age 18 from Newark, was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The other passenger, Andre Filipe Santos, age 18 from Newark, was found to be in possession of suspected methylenedioxy-methamphetamine (MDMA) also known as ecstasy or Molly. Both were placed under arrest and transported to Roselle Park Police Headquarters where they were processed. The driver was issued motor vehicle summonses for the stop. Mr. Pintado and Santos were charged with possession of c.d.s., served on a summons and released with a future court date.

At approximately 10:45 a.m., Andrew Palmer, age 27 from Roselle Park, was arrested on one (1) count of Hindering Apprehension – NJSA 2C:29-3(B)(4) – and Contempt Of Court (NJSA 2A: 10-1). The arrest was a result of an investigation by Patrolman Richard Gaylord where Mr. Palmer identified himself to the officer as Andre Palmer. It was later discovered the suspect’s name was, in fact, Aaron Fleming. Mr. Fleming was arrested and transported to the Union County Jail.
At approximately 12:50 p.m., Patrolman Harold Breuninger conducted a motor vehicle stop along Locust Street on a 2002 Mitsubishi for an equipment violation. The passenger of the vehicle, Elijajua R. Singleton, age 25 from Orange, was found to have an outstanding warrant out of Union County Sheriff’s Department for $685. He was placed under arrest for the warrant and was issued motor vehicle summons for the stop. The other passenger of the vehicle, Angel L. Santana, age 25 from Carteret, was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana. He was placed under arrest and charged with the possession of CDS. Mr. Singelton was lodged into the Union County Jail on the warrant and Mr. Santana was issued a summons and released.
At approximately 9:37 p.m., Patrolman Angelo Marino conducted motor vehicle stop along West Colfax Avenue on a 2000 Buick for an equipment violation. The driver of the vehicle, Christopher J. Stivala, age 20 from Westfield, was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was arrested and charged with possession of c.d.s. and drug paraphernalia. He was issued a summons and released with a court date. Motor vehicle summonses also issued for the stop.

At approximately 3:54 in the morning, Roselle Park Police arrested Victor Paulino, A 24-year-old Roselle Park resident, for driving while intoxicated (DWI) after an early morning single car accident.
Police officers responded to the corner of Bender and Grant Avenues for a report of a crash. Upon arrival, Mr. Paulino, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was transported to Overlook Hospital with minor injuries.
He was ultimately arrested and charged with one (1) count of- Driving While Intoxicated (NJSA 39:4-50).

At approximately 12:28 a.m., Patrolman Mitchell White conducted a motor vehicle stop along East Westfield Avenue on a 2007 Chevy for a moving violation. The passenger of the vehicle, Khalil R. Cooper, age 23 from Harwood, was found to have outstanding warrants for his arrest out of Elizabeth and Newark Municipal Courts as well as the Union County Sheriff’s Office with bail totaling $1,418. According to the report, he initially stated to police that his name is Kenneth E. Archie. Mr. Cooper was arrested on the warrants and charged with hindering his own apprehension. The second passenger, Kristelle E. Brizard, age 20 from Elizabeth, was found to have outstanding warrants out of Elizabeth and Newark Municipal Courts with bail totaling $800. She was also found to be in possession of suspected Percocet. Ms. Brizard was placed under arrest and charged with possession of c.d.s. Mr. Cooper was charged with hindering his own apprehension and lodged in the Union County Jail. He was also issued a summons for the traffic stop. Ms. Brizard was issued a summons for the possession of c.d.s. and released with a court date.
At approximately 8:44 p.m., Patrolman Kyle Snyder conducted a motor vehicle stop along West Westfield Avenue on a 2000 Honda for an equipment violation. The passenger of the vehicle, Keson Huggins, age 31 from Elizabeth, was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and cocaine as well as drug paraphernalia. He was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of c.d.s. with bail set at $5,000. He was lodged in the Union County Jail. The driver was issued a motor vehicle summons for the stop.
