At 9:38 p.m., Patrolman Brian Macdonald conducted a motor vehicle stop on a 2006 Infiniti on the 300 block of Locust Street for equipment violations. The driver, Nelson Jimenez-Suarez, age 24, from Elizabeth was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Roselle Municipal Court for $600. He was arrested and turned over to the Roselle Police Department.

On Friday, Patrolman Brian Macdonald conducted a motor vehicle stop with a 1998 Honda for equipment violations on Valley Road at West Westfield Avenue. The passenger, Berdy Cadet, age 28, from Linden was found to have an outstanding warrant out of Linden Municipal Court, bail totaling $106. Cadet was arrested on the warrant and was later released with a court date after posting bail.

At 1:43 p.m., Patrolmen William Hannon and Mitchell White were conducting business checks on foot in the area of Chestnut Street and West Westfield Avenue when they detected an odor resembling burning marijuana coming from the rear area of 9 West Westfield Avenue. During the investigation, they discovered two (2) male occupants seated in a 2001 Ford parked behind a local business. The passenger, Nicholas Siccone, age 48, was found to be in possession of suspected synthetic cannabinoid (synthetic marijuana). He was arrested and charged with Failure to Turn Over a Controlled Dangerous Substance to Law Enforcement and Possession of CDS. He was subsequently released on his own recognizance (R.O.R.) with a court date.
At 9:51 p.m., Patrolman Dean Khallaf conducted a motor vehicle stop on a 2012 Nissan for an equipment violation on East Westfield Avenue at Galloping Hill Road. The passenger, Timothy Broderick, age 27, from Jersey City was arrested for outstanding warrants out of North Bergen Municipal Court for $250 and $200. He was released after posting bail.
