Police Activity Report (March 27 – 30, 2013)

March 27, 2013

At 09:25 p.m., Kyle A. Dickerson, 24 of Union, was arrested by Patrolman Alexander Lanza during a traffic stop on Gordon Street. Dickerson was found in possession of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Jamesly Jean-Charles, 19 of Hillside, was arrested by Patrolman Brian Swick during a traffic stop on West Westfield Avenue. Jean-Charles was found to have an active arrest warrant from Irvington Municipal Court in the amount of $500. Jean-Charles was released into custody of IPD.

March 28, 2013

At 10:45 a.m., Jennifer Acevedo, age 22 of Elizabeth, was arrested by Patrolman Nicholas Vaughan for possessing suspected marijuana. Acevedo was stopped for a traffic violation on the 700 block of Galloping Hill Road and was found with two (2) suspected marijuana-filled cigars.

Tiffany Cooper, age 25 of Roselle, was arrested by Patrolman Swick reportedly for possessing an open container of alcohol and for possessing marijuana. Swick stopped Cooper for a traffic violation on Hawthorne Street and found an open whiskey bottle and beer bottles along with two (2) bags of suspected marijuana.

At 11:48 a.m., Roselle Park Police responded to a report of a dog bite on Faitoute Avenue near Aldene Park. At the scene, police found a 49-year-old male from Brick, NJ suffering from multiple bite and puncture wounds to his hands and forearms. The victim stated an unleashed German Shepard approached him near the park. As he tried looking at the dog’s name tag, the dog bit him several times before running off. The dog was later found with its owner on the 500 block of Valley Road. The dog’s owner was issued a Borough summons for “Dog At Large” and was ordered to keep the dog quarantined for 10 days. The matter was then reported to the Board of Health.

March 29, 2013

Allyn C. Johnson, age 27 of Roselle Park, was arrested by Patrolman Angelo Marino for a Linden Municipal Court warrant for $240. During processing, she was found to be in possession of a bag of suspected heroin and a hypodermic syringe. Johnson was transported to the Union County jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.

March 30, 2013

At 09:42 a.m., Michael E. De Laurie, 22 of Garwood, was arrested by Patrolman Mitchell White for possession of marijuana during a traffic stop on West Westfield Avenue. De Laurie possessed one (1) bag of suspected marijuana and several rolling papers.
