At 10:50 a.m., Patrolman Gregory Polakoski conducted a motor vehicle stop on a 1997 white Pontiac at the intersection of Walnut Street at East First Avenue in Roselle for fictitious tags. The driver, Cedric Edwards, age 28 from Roselle stated that he placed fictitious tags on the vehicle belonging to a red Ford Taurus so he can run errands around town. It was discovered that Edwards’ driving privileges were suspended and he had an active warrant for his arrest out of Eastampton Municipal Court for $2,500. He was placed under arrest and issued motor vehicle summonses. Eastampton Police Department was contacted and they released Edwards on his own recognizance with a court date.
At 11:50 a.m., Patrolman William Hannon conducted a motor vehicle stop on a 1996 Toyota on the 600 block of Locust Street for an equipment violation. The driver, Kyle Andrews, age 29, from Hillside was arrested on a $90 warrant out of Union Municipal Court. He was released on bail with a court date.
