At approximately 10:52 p.m., Roselle Park Police Department (RPPD) Officer Owen Law conducted a motor vehicle stop on a 2007 Mitsubishi for a moving violation on E. Westfield Ave. at Linden Road.
The driver of the vehicle, Valensky Valeus, age 20 from South Amboy, reportedly had initially identified himself to police as Charles Mckoy. During the investigation he was found to be in possession of suspected heroin.
The passenger of the vehicle, Charles W. Mckoy, age 19 from North Plainfield, had initially identified himself to police as Gerry Pierre.
Mr. Valeus was arrested and charged with possession of c.d.s. and hindering police by providing false identification. He was issued motor vehicle summonses for failure to observe a traffic signal, driving while suspended and possession of c.d.s. in a motor vehicle. He was later released on a summons with a Union County Superior Court date.
Mr. Mckoy was arrested and charged with hindering police by providing false identification. He was issued a motor vehicle summons for failure to wear a seatbelt. He was then released on a summons.
March 15, 2018
At approximately 11:46 p.m., RPPD Officer William Hannon conducted a pedestrian stop on two (2) males along Laurel Avenue following a suspicious incident reported on the 600 block of Chestnut Street where a resident observed two males dressed in all black running from a rear yard approximately 14 minutes earlier.
The pedestrians were identified as Jonathan J. Rodriguez, age 18 from Union City, and Maximino A. Cruz, age 21 from Roselle Park, who were both found to be in possession of suspected marijuana.
Both were arrested and charged with possession of c.d.s.
It was later determined that they were not the individuals that were observed running from the yard on Chestnut Street in the previous incident. They were issued summonses and released with a Roselle Park Municipal Court date and released.
March 16, 2018
At around 4:15 a.m., RPPD Officer Angelo Marino conducted a pedestrian stop on an individual along Locust Street for failing to use the crosswalk. The individual identified himself to police as Wali Baskerville. This same male was positively identified as Asad W. Majors, age 25 from Newark. Mr. Majors was discovered to have an outstanding fugitive warrant for his arrest out of the Morris County Prosecutors Office for burglary. He was placed under arrest and charged with hindering his own apprehension for providing false information to police. He was issued a traffic summons for jaywalking and turned over to Morris County Prosecutors Office.

At approximately 5:15 p.m., RPPD Officer Kyle Snyder conducted a motor vehicle stop on a 1999 Ford for a moving violation along Seaton Avenue.
The driver of the vehicle, Christian G. Matos, age 19 from Harrisburg, PA was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a knife. He was placed under arrest and charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of c.d.s., and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Mr. Matos was issued motor vehicle summonses for careless driving, possession of c.d.s. in a motor vehicle and failure to wear seatbelt. He was then released on a summons with a Union County Superior Court date.

At approximately 1:59 a.m., RPPD Officer William Hannon conducted a motor vehicle stop on a 2012 Audi for a moving violation along West Westfield Avenue at Gordon Street.
The driver of the vehicle, Candido J. Parga-Cruz, age 24 from Linden, was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Mr. Parga-Cruz was placed under arrest and charged with possession of c.d.s. and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was issued motor vehicle summonses for careless driving and possession of c.d.s. in a motor vehicle.
He was released on a summons with a Roselle Park Municipal Court date.

At around 11:45 p.m., RPPD Officer William Hannon conducted a motor vehicle stop on a 2002 Toyota for an equipment violation along West Westfield Avenue at Locust Street.
The driver of the vehicle Terrence K. Dixon, age 25 from Rahway, was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Mr. Dixon was placed under arrest and charged with possession of c.d.s. and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was issued motor vehicle summonses for expired registration and possession of c.d.s. in a motor vehicle.
He was released on a summons with a Roselle Park Municipal Court date.
