Police Activity Report (March 12 – 19, 2015)

March 12, 2015

At approximately midnight, Patrolman Brian Macdonald conducted a motor vehicle stop on a 2005 Jeep on West Westfield Avenue at Gordon Street after a license plate check revealed that the registered owner had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. The driver of the vehicle, Hamilton Blackwell, age 33 of Roselle, was identified as the registered owner and arrested for the warrant out of Bloomfield Municipal Court and accompanying bail of $250. Mr. Blackwell was also found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was subsequently charged with possession of CDS, possession of drug paraphernalia, and failure to turn over CDS to police. After posting bail, Mr. Blackwell was released on a summons.

March 17, 2015

At approximately 9:47 a.m., Patrolman William Hannon conducted a motor vehicle stop on a 2003 Honda on West Westfield Avenue at Jerome Street for an equipment violation. The driver of the vehicle, Bryanna Melo, age 21 of Roselle, was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Ms. Melo was arrested and charged with possession of CDS and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was released on a summons.

March 18, 2015

At approximately 1 o’clock in the morning, Sergeant Michael Wielgus conducted a motor vehicle stop on a 2010 Toyota on West Grant Avenue at Filbert Street for a moving violation. The driver of the vehicle, Stephanie Cruz, age 25 from Roselle Park, and passengers Liliana Rodriguez and Georgia Trimino – both age 24 from Elizabeth – were found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. All three were arrested and charged with possession of CDS, possession of drug paraphernalia, and failure to turn over CDS to police. They were all released on summonses.
