On Thursday, at approximately 10:32 p.m., Patrolman Dean Khallaf conducted a motor vehicle stop on a 2002 Honda on Galloping Hill Road at Lehigh Avenue for an equipment violation. The front seat passenger of the vehicle, Kassandra Sanchez, age 20 from Union, was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and the rear seat passenger, Andres Morales, age 24 from Union, was found to be in possession of suspected Alprazolam. Ms. Sanchez was arrested and charged with Possession of CDS and Failure To Turn Over CDS To Police. Mr. Morales was arrested and charged with Possession of CDS, Possession of CDS with Intent to Distribute, and Possession of CDS with Intent to Distribute within 500 Feet of a Park. Ms. Sanchez was released on her own recognizance (ROR) and Mr. Morales was released on a $25,000 bond. The driver of the vehicle, Marissa Mendez, was issued a motor vehicle summons and released at the scene.

At approximately 1:24 p.m., Patrolman William Hannon conducted a motor vehicle stop on a 2007 BMW on West Westfield Avenue at Locust Street for an equipment violation. A Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC) check revealed the driver to have his driving privileges suspended with an active warrant out of Jersey City Municipal Court for $100. The driver of the vehicle, Aquil Bey, age 28 from Rahway, was found to be in possession of suspected cocaine, suspected Ecstasy (3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine), and suspected marijuana along with drug paraphernalia. Mr. Bey was arrested and charged with three (3) counts of Possession of CDS and Possession of CDS with Intent to Distribute. Mr. Bey was lodged into the Union County Jail on $25,000 bail.

On Monday at approximately 7:41 a.m., Roselle Park Police patrol was dispatched to the 100 block of West Colfax Avenue for a report of two males that were observed trespassing and found to have urinated and defecated in the hallway of an apartment building. The caller advised that the two males described as approximately 5’1″, 150 lbs., with short black hair. One of the males were reported to be wearing a green shirt and blue jeans and the other a black hooded sweatshirt with no sleeves. Patrolmen Gregory Polakoski and Kyle Snyder located two gentlement fitting the descriptions of the the suspects on the corner of West Sumner Avenue at Elm Street. Fernando Vargas Romero-Castillo, age 28, and Miguel Gonzalez, age 29, both from Roselle, were arrested and charged with criminal trespassing and criminal mischief. Both were released with a future court date.
