At approximately noon, Patrolman. Kyle Lamar conducted a motor vehicle stop with a 2002 Audi on West Westfield Avenue at Grove Street for an equipment violation. The driver of the vehicle, Michael E. Mansour, age 21 of Newark, was found to be in possession of suspected oxycodone, possession of suspected marijuana under 50 grams, and drug paraphernalia. Mr. Mansour was arrested and charged with possession of CDS (2 counts), possession of drug paraphernalia, and failure to turn over CDS to police. He was released with a Union County Superior court date.
At approximately 12:47 p.m., Patrolman John Fitzgerald conducted a motor vehicle stop with a 2007 Ford on Locust Street at West Grant Avenue for an equipment violation. The driver of the vehicle, James F. Garner, age 36 of Linden, was found to be in possession of under 50 grams of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Mr. Garner was arrested and charged with possession of CDS, possession of drug paraphernalia, and failure to turn over CDS to police. He was released on a summons.

On Sunday at approximately 10:13 p.m., Patrolman Mitchell White conducted a motor vehicle stop with a 2005 Honda on 100 block of East Grant Avenue for a moving violation. The driver of the vehicle, Collin G. Atkinson, age 22 of Linden, was found to be in possession of under 50 grams of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Mr. Atkinson was arrested and charged with possession of CDS and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on a summons.
