Police Activity Report (December 8 – 23, 2018)

December 8, 2018
At 2:22 a.m., Roselle Park Police Department (RPPD) Officer William Hannon conducted a motor vehicle stop on a 2015 Toyota along West Westfield Avenue for an equipment violation.

As a result of the motor vehicle stop the driver, identified as Fitzroy M. Neufville, age 32 from Irvington was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Mr. Neufville was arrested and charged with possession of c.d.s and drug paraphernalia. He was issued traffic summonses for possession of c.d.s. in a motor vehicle, unlicensed driver, and failure to illuminate headlamps. He was released on a summons with a Roselle Park Municipal Court date.

December 14, 2018
At 9:54 p.m., RPPD Officer Kyle Snyder conducted a motor vehicle stop on a 2002 Mercedes Benz along West Westfield Avenue at Gordon Street for an equipment violation.

As a result of the motor vehicle stop the driver, identified as Yarisa Ortega, age 20 from Perth Amboy was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and an alcoholic beverage.

Ms. Ortega was arrested and charged with possession of c.d.s, possession of drug paraphernalia, and underage possession of alcohol. She was issued traffic summonses for possession of c.d.s. in a motor vehicle, tinted windows and maintenance of lamps. She was released on a summons with a Roselle Park Municipal Court date.

December 19, 2018
At 2:14 a.m., RPPD Officer Avsar Patel conducted a motor vehicle stop on a 2008 Subaru along Locust Street for an equipment and moving violation.

As a result of the motor vehicle stop the driver identified as Carlos O. Colon, age 25 from Philadelphia, PA was found to be in possession of a weapon (pellet pun) as well as possession of handcuffs.

Mr. Colon was arrested and charged with possession of a weapon and possession of handcuffs. He was issued traffic summonses for failure to observe a traffic signal and tinted windows. He was released on a summons with a Union County Superior Court date.

December 20, 2018
At 12:52 a.m., RPPD Officer Angelo Marino conducted a motor vehicle stop on a 2004 Toyota along East Westfield Avenue at Linden Road for an equipment violation.

As a result of the motor vehicle stop, the front seat passenger identified as Ivelys M. Ramirez, age 18 from Roselle was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana.

Ms. Ramirez was arrested and charged with possession of c.d.s. She was released on a summons with a Roselle Park Municipal Court date.

December 21, 2018
At 8:20 a.m., RPPD Officer Ryan Hokanson responded to the 500 block of Locust Street on a report of an intoxicated male that appeared to need assistance. He located the male fitting the description given to police and was later identified as Andrew V. Rocke, age 34 from New York.

Mr. Rocke was found to have two outstanding traffic warrants out of Annandale and Weehawken Municipal courts. He was subsequently found to be in possession of suspected heroin.

Mr. Rocke was arrested and charged with possession of c.d.s. He was released on his own recognizance on both warrants and issued a summons with a Union County Superior Court date.

December 22, 2018
At 3:45 a.m., RPPD Officers Theodore Kot and Kyle Snyder conducted a motor vehicle stop on a 1999 Toyota along East Westfield Avenue at Pershing Avenue for a moving violation.

During the stop, the driver who was identified as Pablo X. Salamea, age 27 from Elizabeth was asked to exit the vehicle for a narcotic investigation. Once outside the vehicle, Salamea reportedly fled on foot through a nearby backyard and led officers on a foot pursuit for several blocks where he was ultimately placed under arrest on Sherman Avenue.

As a result of the motor vehicle stop, Mr. Salamea was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Mr. Salamea was charged with possession of c.d.s., possession of drug paraphernalia and obstruction. He was released on a summons with a Roselle Park Municipal Court date. He was also issued traffic summonses for careless driving, driving the wrong way on a highway, maintenance of lamps, failure to exhibit documents, failure to inspect vehicle and possession of c.d.s. in a motor vehicle.

December 23, 2018
At 12:22 a.m., RPPD Officer Jessica Diaz conducted a motor vehicle stop on a 2009 Hyundai along Galloping Hill Road for a moving violation.

As a result of the motor vehicle stop, the, driver, identified as Leopold S. Exavier, age 38 from Elizabeth was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Mr. Exavier was arrested and charged with possession of c.d.s. and drug paraphernalia. He was released on a summons with a Roselle Park Municipal Court date. He was also issued traffic summonses for possession of c.d.s in a motor vehicle, failure to exhibit insurance card and failure to maintain lane.
