Police Activity Report (December 19 – 22, 2013)

December 19, 2013

At 5:31 a.m., Jean Crissy, 70 of Roselle Park, was arrested By Patrolman Macdonald after police responded to a dispute at a home on Prospect Street. Crissy was charged with assault, possession of a weapon (knife) for unlawful purpose, and unlawful possession of a weapon after she pointed a knife in the face of a housemate. Crissy was lodged in Union County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.

Ernst Louis, 43 of Newark, was arrested by Patrolman White after police responded to a report of a fight at the Delta gas station, located at 101 West Westfield Avenue. Louis accused the proprietor of damaging his vehicle while he was inspecting the car. During the investigation, Louis was found to have a $132 warrant from Irvington Police Department . Louis posted bail in full and was later released.

December 20, 2013

Norbert Adams, 25 of Elizabeth, was arrested by Patrolman Khallaf during a traffic stop on Linden Road. Adams had a Roselle Park warrant in amount of $300. Adams was released after posting bail.

At 9:44 p.m., Jeffrey Croce, 25 of Roselle Park, was arrested by Patrolman Macdonald while walking on Chestnut Street. Macdonald recognized Croce as having an open warrant. Croce was released after posting $90 bail for a Union Township warrant.

Juan Rodriguez, 57 of Roselle Park, was arrested during a traffic stop on Sherman Avenue. Rodriguez was released after posting $1,000 on a Kenilworth warrant.

December 21, 2013

Marie Palumbo-Schwarz, 45 of Wenatchee, WA was arrested by Patrolman Hopkins after police responded to a loud dispute on Avon Street. As police tried to quell the situation, Palumbo-Schwarz refused to cooperate and continued yelling obscenities. She was charged with disorderly conduct and later released to a family member.

December 22, 2013

At 3:19 a.m., Roselle Park Police responded to a violent dispute in an apartment on the 300 block of Chestnut Street. At the scene, a 25-year-old male reported that he was bitten by his 27-year-old friend, Richard Maldonado, of the Bronx, NY. The victim showed police a bite wound on his arm. As police were placing Maldonado under arrest, he violently struggled in an attempt to flee. Sgt. Pitts and Patrolman Polakoski were able to secure Maldonado after a brief struggle.

Maldonado was charged with assault on his friend and resisting arrest by Polakoski. He was lodged in Union County jail in lieu $7.500.
