Police Activity Report (December 18 – 21, 2014)

December 18, 2014

On Thursday  at approximately 11:31 p.m., Patrolman Kyle Lamar conducted a motor vehicle stop on a 1998 Nissan on East Westfield Avenue at Galloping Hill Road for an equipment violation. The driver of the vehicle, Michael C. Iferika, age 26 of Roselle, was found to be in possession of a suspected controlled dangerous substance (under 50 grams) marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was placed under arrest and charged with possession of CDS and drug paraphernalia. Mr. Iferika was issued summonses and released.

December 19, 2014

At approximately 12:54 a.m., Patrolman Brian Macdonald conducted a motor vehicle stop on a 2002 Chevy on East Grant Avenue at Berwyn Street. The driver of the vehicle, Fernando Dasilva, age 22 of Union Township, was placed under arrest for an outstanding warrant out of Westfield Municipal Court for $240. Subsequent to the arrest, Mr. Dasilva was found to be in possession of a suspected controlled dangerous substance (liquid codeine). Mr. Dasilva was charged with possession of CDS, his bail set at $5,000, and he was transported to the Union County Jail.

On Sunday at approximately 10:18 p.m., Patrolman William Hannon conducted a motor vehicle stop on a 2002 Nissan on Locust Street at West Second Avenue in Roselle for an equipment violation. The driver of the vehicle, Brandon G. Andre, age 23 of Roselle Park, was found to be in possession of a suspected controlled dangerous substance (oxycodone). He was placed under arrest and charged with possession of CDS, issued summonses, and released.

At approximately 11:02 p.m., Patrolman Brian Macdonald conducted a motor vehicle stop on a black Acura on Bender Avenue at Colonial Road. The driver of the vehicle, Yousef Aburadi, age 19 of Union Township, was arrested for driving while intoxicated. Subsequent to the arrest, Mr. Aburadi was found to be in possession of a suspected controlled dangerous substance (under 50 grams) marijuana. He was charged with DWI, possession of CDS, failure to turn over CDS to police, issued summonses, and released.
