At approximately 12:54 a.m., Patrolman Angelo Marino conducted a motor vehicle stop on Locust Street on a 2002 Infiniti for a moving violation. The passenger of the vehicle, Moises R. Mejia, age 20 from Elizabeth, was found to have an outstanding traffic warrant out of Elizabeth Municipal Court in the amount of $500. Further investigation revealed Mr. Mejia to be in possession of suspected marijuana as well as drug paraphernalia. He was placed under arrest and transported to Roselle Park Police Headquarters where he was processed. Mr. Mejia was charged with Possession Of CDS and Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia. He was served with summonses and released with a future court date. Motor vehicle summonses were also issued.

At approximately 10:34 a.m., Patrolman Anthony Rodriguez conducted a pedestrian stop on East Westfield Avenue on a suspicious male. The individual was identified as Matthew G. Rome, age 34 from Cliffside Park. Mr. Rome was found to be in possession of suspected prescription pills and suspected marijuana. It was also discovered, according to the police, that Mr. Rome was asking other pedestrians in the area where he could obtain other narcotics. He was placed under arrest and transported to Roselle Park Police Headquarters where he was processed. Mr. Rome was charged with two (2) counts of Possession Of CDS and Loitering To Obtain A Controlled Dangerous Substance. He was served with a summons and released with a future court date.

At approximately 1:15 a.m., Patrolman Brian Swick conducted a motor vehicle stop on West Westfield Avenue on a 2002 Mercury for an equipment violation. The driver of the vehicle, Adam S. Bilal, age 31 from Newark, was found to be driving while suspended as well as in possession of suspected marijuana. He was placed under arrest and transported to Roselle Park Police Headquarters where he was processed. Mr. Bilal was charged with Possession Of CDS on a summons and released with a future court date. Motor vehicle summonses were also issued.

At approximately 2:01 a.m., Patrolman Angelo Marino responded to a residence on Sheridan Avenue following a report of a verbal dispute. The police made contact with Ronald F. Perry Jr. who was found to have an outstanding warrant out of Elizabeth for $100. A subsequent search revealed Mr. Perry to be in possession of suspected marijuana. He was arrested and transported to Roselle Park Police Headquarters where he was charged with Possession Of CDS. He was released on a summons with a court date for Roselle Park and Elizabeth Municipal Court.
