At approximately 9:19 p.m., Patrolman Angelo Marino conducted a motor vehicle stop on a 1995 Honda for an equipment violation. The driver of the vehicle, Rene Jonelson, and passenger, Victor Maldonado, ages 22 from Vauxhall were found to be in possession of suspected marijuana. They were arrested and charged with possession of c.d.s. Mr. Jonelson was also found to be wanted on an active warrant out of Union Township Municipal Court for $178. He posted cash bail and was released with a court date. Mr. Maldonado was found to have an active warrant out of Maplewood Municipal Court for $500. He posted cash bail and was released with a court date.

At approximately 12:22 a.m., Patrolman William Hannon conducted a motor vehicle stop on a 1998 Acura for a moving violation. The driver of the vehicle, Bryan D. Marques, age 24 from Elizabeth, was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana. He was arrested and charged with possession of c.d.s. and was released with a court date.

At approximately 3:01 a.m., Patrolman William Hannon conducted a motor vehicle stop on a 2010 Honda for an equipment violation. The driver of the vehicle, Mary Maobe, age 21 from Union, and passenger, Dayne Brown, age 23 from Newark, were found to be in possession of suspected marijuana as well as drug paraphernalia. They were arrested and charged with possession of c.d.s. and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both were released with a court date.
