At 10:02 a.m., Patrolman William Hannon conducted a motor vehicle stop on West Clay Avenue at Faitoute Avenue on a 2005 Nissan for a cell phone violation. After a roadside investigation, the driver, Jason Dunbar, age 32, from Montclair was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (under 50 grams) marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and failure to turn over CDS to police. He was issued summonses and released with a court date.
At 8:08 p.m., Patrolman John Deegan conducted a motor vehicle stop on a 1998 Ford on East Westfield Avenue at Linden Road. The driver, George Hernandez-Santana, age 32, from Elizabeth was found to have an outstanding warrant in the amount totaling $500 out of Elizabeth Municipal Court. Hernandez-Santana was arrested on the warrant and subsequently released on his own recognizance with a new court date.
