Photo Montage Exhibit At Casano Gallery

The Casano Community Center Art Gallery will be presenting a solo exhibit of photographic montages by Roselle Park resident Leona M Seufert titled “Journey Through Remembrance – New Jersey 9/11 Memorials” through December 12th. There will be a reception to meet the artist on Wednesday, November 19th, from 6:30 p.m. till 8 in the evening.

Ms. Seufert is a digital artist who has used September 11th and Ground Zero as subject matter for her digital montages throughout the last 13 years. She has always been intrigued by the memorials created to honor September 11th victims. Ms. Seuffert said, “This current exhibit grew out of my curiosity to see what other New Jersey towns had erected. Each memorial is combined with images of either the Twin Towers, the new World Trade Center 1 tower, or the national memorial at Ground Zero. I hope that the combination of these images speaks a message about that tragic event and its ensuing grief that goes beyond the specific memorial.”

The Casano Art Gallery is located at 314 Chestnut Street in the Casano Community Center. The Community Center’s, as well as the Art Gallery’s, hours are Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., with the Center closing at 5 p.m. on Fridays.
