Passenger’s Seatbelt Violation Leads To Arrest

On March 17, 2011 at about 1:58 p.m. in the area of Galloping Hill Road and Ragland Drive, Patrolman Kevin Florczak observed a blue Mazda traveling northbound on Galloping Hill Road. A passenger in the vehicle was not wearing a seatbelt in violation of 39:3-76.2F. A motor vehicle stop on the 300 block of Galloping Hill Road resulted in the discovery of a medium sized clear Ziplock bag containing about 100 suspected CDS marijuana seeds.

The passenger, Thimothy [correct spelling] Collier, was placed under arrest and charged with 2C:35-10(a)(4) (possession of marijuana). He was released pending a Roselle Park Municipal Court date of March 24, 2011.

The driver was given traffic summons 39:3-76.2F for failure to wear a seatbelt.
