West Colfax Avenue from Hazel Street to Laurel Avenue will be closed to vehicular traffic on Saturday, June 30th.
The road will be blocked from 2 p.m. till 11 o’clock at night to accommodate for the borough’s fireworks event.
The Roselle Park Police Department (RPPD) asks drivers and area residents to plan alternate routes.
The borough’s Independence Day celebration is scheduled from 6 p.m. till 10 o’clock at night on Saturday, June 30th. The celebration will not take place on July 4th due to scheduling conflict and pricing of the fireworks provider.
The gates for the event will open at 5 p.m. with festivities beginning at 6 p.m. Attendees are welcome to bring lawn chairs, and blankets. There will be food vendors on West Colfax Avenue including barbecue, funnel cakes, Italian ice, ice cream, pizza, popcorn, and hot dogs.
For security purposes, all bags will be subjected to search.
The rain date for this event is Saturday, July 7, 2018.
The celebration will be at Roselle Park High School’s Herm Shaw Field located at 214 West Colfax Avenue.
