Ordinance 2523: New Snow Removal Streets

A proposed law will add seven (7) streets to the permanent list of roadways that will prohibit parking after snowfall in order to help with snow removal and “to the extent, that parking will not interfere with the normal flow of traffic”.

Some of the streets to be permanently added were on a list of roadways that were temporarily included as snow streets during the January 2016 blizzard. That storm saw a total accumulation of over two feet of snow.

The local roadways proposed to become snow streets are:

The public hearing for Ordinance 2523 along with the vote by the governing body is set to be part of tonight’s Mayor & Council meeting. It is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. at the Roselle Park Municipal Complex located at 110 East Westfield Avenue.
