A proposed law will add seven (7) streets to the permanent list of roadways that will prohibit parking after snowfall in order to help with snow removal and “to the extent, that parking will not interfere with the normal flow of traffic”.
Some of the streets to be permanently added were on a list of roadways that were temporarily included as snow streets during the January 2016 blizzard. That storm saw a total accumulation of over two feet of snow.
The local roadways proposed to become snow streets are:
Name of Street | Location | |
---|---|---|
Filbert Street | West Clay Avenue to West Webster Avenue | |
Laurel Avenue | Seaton Avenue to West Lincoln Avenue | |
Myrtle Avenue | West Webster Avenue to West Lincoln Avenue | |
Park Place | West Clay Avenue to West Webster Avenue | |
Sheridan Avenue | East Clay Avenue to East Grant Avenue | |
Sherman Avenue | East Clay Avenue to East Grant Avenue | |
Webster Avenue | Locust Street to Laurel Avenue |
The three streets that will have additional sections included as snow removal streets are:
Name of Street | Location | |
---|---|---|
Clay Avenue | Chestnut Street to Locust Street | |
Lincoln Avenue | Faitoute Avenue to Myrtle Avenue | |
Roselle Avenue | from Colfax Avenue, northerly and easterly to the westerly curbline of Hazel Street |
