Ordinance 2489 will increase the sewer fees 3% for industrial waste $738.92 for every 100 cubic feet of water consumed. The section impacted in Section 27-6.3, is proposed to be amended as follows:
User charges for industrial waste shall be charged to industrial waste contributors who discharge industrial waste into the system. User charges for industrial waste shall be based upon the flow, suspended solids and biochemical oxygen demand of the waste as determined by the Borough Engineer. Sampling and measurement shall be accomplished by each industrial discharger at its own expense, and the results thereof shall be monitored by the Borough Engineer. Where deemed necessary by the Borough Engineer, permanent measurement and sampling facilities shall be installed by the industrial user at its own expense. The rate of charges for 20
1617 shall be $717.32$738.92.
The rate for residential and commercial properties shall remain at $3.00 with a minimum annual charge of $57.00 per 100 ft.3 consumed.
The new rate is set to be voted on at the May 18th Mayor & Council meeting starting at 7 p.m. in council chambers of the Roselle Park Municipal Complex.
