On Friday, November 4, 2011 at approximately 11:25 p.m., Roselle Park Police were dispatched to the 400 block of Seaton Avenue on a report of a noise complaint with possible CDS activity and underage drinking.
Upon arrival, a group of individuals were observed exiting a white Honda Civic that was parked across the street from the residence. The individuals walked towards Amsterdam Avenue away from police as they arrived.
An investigation resulted in the discovery of one (1) clear Ziplock bag containing suspected marijuana and one (1) partially consumed glass jug of Carlo Rossi brand red wine.
Placed under arrest were Maria D’Amico, age 18 of Kenilworth, Morris Peshtani, age 18 of Roselle Park, and three (3) 17-year-old males of Roselle Park for possession of marijuana and underage possession alcohol. The five (5) individuals were charged with 2C:35-10(a)(4) (possession of marijuana), 2C:36-2 (possession of drug paraphernalia), and 2C:33-15(a) (underage possession of alcohol).
D’Amico and Peshanti were released pending a Roselle Park Municipal Court hearing of November 4, 2011. The three (3) juveniles were released to the custody of a parent pending a family court hearing.
