On May 30, 2011 at about 3:21 p.m., Patrolman Kevin Florczak conducted a motor vehicle stop on Hawthorne Street for a violation of 39:3-76.2(f) (no seatbelt). Upon approaching the vehicle, the driver was identified as Jamil Negron, age 24 of Elizabeth, NJ. An investigation led to the discovery of revealed a clear Ziplock bag containing suspected CDS marijuana and a partially smoked hand-rolled cigar containing suspected CDS marijuana.
Mr. Negron was arrested and charged with 2C:35-10(a)4 (possession of marijuana). He was also issued roselle park traffic summons 39:3-76.2(f) (failure to wear a seatbelt) and 39:4-49.1 (possession of CDS in a motor vehicle). Mr. Negron was released pending a Roselle Park Municipal Court first appearance on June 9, 2011.
