On Monday, May 9, 2011 at approximately 1:19 p.m., Patrolmen Mitchell White and Nicholas Vaughan observed a black Hyundai traveling north on Galloping Hill Road with passengers in violation of NJ 39:3-76.2(f) (no seatbelt). A motor vehicle stop on Galloping Hill Road just outside Union Hospital resulted in the arrest of the rear seat passenger, Jimmy D. Chapman, age 29, of Elizabeth, NJ for 2C:29-3 (hindering apprehension).
Mr. Chapman identified himself as James Caulder and then stated he forgot his social security number when asked. It was also revealed that Mr. Chapman had two (2) outstanding warrants – one from Fanwood for $924 and one from Elizabeth for $500.
Mr. Chapman was released upon posting bail pending a Roselle Park Municipal Court date of May 19, 2011.
