Municipal Candidates Announced For June Primary

The Democratic candidates for the 2012 June Primary Election are Charlene Storey for the 2nd Ward and David Jacobs for the 5th Ward. Current incumbents 2nd Ward Councilman Marc Caswell and 5th Ward Councilman Michael Yakubov will run for re-election on the Republican ticket. The deadline for filing the petition was at 4 p.m. yesterday, April 2nd. There was no information available on Independent candidates although the petition deadline for such a candidacy is the date of the Primary Election, which will be on Tuesday June 5, 2012.
