During last night’s Municipal Land Use Board (MLUB) meeting, four (4) companies which provide municipal planning services went before the Board to give their pitch to become Roselle Park’s municipal planner. Harbor Consultants, Neglia Engineering, Ricci Planning, and Van Cleef Engineering all gave presentations and answered questions to replace Janice Tally who, up until last year, had held that position.
At the end of the night, sheets that members used to score each company were tallied and Harbor Consultants was chosen as the Borough’s new planner, coming in ahead of Neglia Engineering which is the Borough’s current engineer.
The MLUB will formalize the matter at their March meeting. In addition to approving a new planner, the Board approved the Roselle Park Baseball & Softball League’s (RPYBSL) sign which needed to go before the board for a variance.
The night ended with the formal swearing in of the two (2) newest MLUB members, Ralph Ortiz and Jay Robaina, which necessitated the Board re-voting on all matters handled earlier in the evening.
