Mimi’s Pizza Is April’s Business Of The Month

A Roselle Park staple – Mimi’s Pizza & Real Homemade Italian Ices – was recognized as April’s Business of the Month.

Having opened up in 1976 on the corner of West Clay and Faitoute Avenue, they have been selling pizza on the Clay Avenue side and Italian ices on the Faitoute Avenue side. Year-round Mimi’s offers thin-crust, thick-crust, and gluten-free pizza as well as calzones, pepperoni bread, sausage bread, and even pizza dough. When the weather gets hot, visitors can choose from a rainbow array of Italian ices, parfaits, and ice cream.

Fourth Ward Councilman Michael Connelly presented the award on behalf of the governing body, “[They’re] down the street from me, I’ve been going there for years. It’s been a local meeting spot during the summer for as long as I can remember since I’ve been living in Roselle Park.”

Mimi’s was the winner of this year’s Best Pizza Around Contest, hosted by the Roselle Park Knights of Columbus Msgr. Loreti Council #3240, beating out seven other pizzerias.

Paul Minitelli was in attendance and accepted the certificate. He said, “It’s [been] a family business for 40 years now. It’s really good to be recognized.”

Mimi’s Pizza is located at 357 West Clay Avenue. Their phone number is (908) 245-9696. More information can be found on their Facebook page (link).
