Mayor Hokanson To Hold Meet & Greet On June 27th

Mayor Carl Hokanson will host his quarterly meet & greet on Monday, June 27th. The opportunity for a one-on-one with the mayor will take place at Costa Restaurant from 6 p.m. till 8 o’clock in the evening. There will be free food and refreshments.

This will be the 30th such informal get-together that Mr. Hokanson has had since taking office in 2009 when he became Roselle Park’s councilman-at-large. He has continued the practice as the head of the borough.

The purpose of these meet & greets is to allow residents to ask frank and upfront questions to the mayor without time limit or the formal settings of a meeting. It also allows residents to get firsthand information from Mayor Hokanson on things that are either developing or issues that might not have been addressed during a Mayor & Council meeting.

In the past, residents have asked about developments and vacant properties in town, street repairs, the train station, the townwide revaluation, property taxes, code enforcement, and municipal service – to name a few.

Costa’s is located at 120 Chestnut Street. Free parking is available across the street at the municipal lot next to World of Liquors.
