Mayor Joseph Accardi will be out of the country until October 27, 2013. According to the mayor, he will be without Internet or phone access. He is reportedly on vacation in China where he he previously stated that he will also be distributing brochures to invite investors to Roselle Park. Mayor Accardi originally asked for a $3,000 budget to create the brochures but later stated he would pay for the brochures himself. Whether those brochures were ever produced has not been determined.
During this period, Fourth Ward Councilman Modesto Miranda, who is also the council president, will be the acting mayor. Mayor Accardi asked that residents contact their council representatives or the appropriate Borough Department should they have any issues during this time.
