Man Charged With Possession With Intent To Distribute

On January 14, 2011 at approximately 9:31 p.m., while in the area of East Westfield Avenue and Galloping Hill Road, police officer Matthew Disano observed a red Honda Accord in violation of New Jersey Motor Vehicle Statute 39:3-75. A motor vehicle stop was initiated on Galloping Hill Road. An investigation led to the discovery of a large ziplock bag containing a small black digital scale, (2) medium sized ziplock bags, both containing smaller 78 empty small clear ziplock bags and 41 empty small clear yellow ziplock bags, and (3) small clear ziplock bags containing suspected marijuana.

The driver, Teray Savage, 19, of Perth Amboy was placed under arrest and charged with 2C:35-5b(12) (possession with intent to distribute CDS), 2C:35-10(a)(4) (possession of marijuana), and two (2) counts 2c:36-2 (possession of drug paraphernalia)

Savage was also issued the following motor vehicle violations: 39:3-75 (tinted windows); 39:3-76.2F (seatbelt); 39:4-49.1 (CDS in motor vehicle); and 39:6B-2 (no insurance).
